Diploma in Playwork CACHE Level 3 (RQF) (NVQ)
The Level 3 Playwork Diploma (NVQ) (QRN: 501/0997/2) will give you the skills, knowledge and understanding required to be a playworker at Level 3 based on the National Occupational Standards. The course is designed for those people who want to work with children and young people between 4 – 16 years of age in a wide variety of play environments in a supervisory role.
This is the ideal course for anyone who enjoys being active and playing with children. As a fully qualified playworker you will be responsible for planning and taking part in play and leisure activities. You will also support and safeguard children
If you are considering a career as a Playworker you need to have a responsible and caring attitude towards the children and parents/carers of the children you are working with, this will require a good level of patience.
What can I do on completion of the Playwork (NVQ) course?

Am I required to do a placement?
In order to achieve your CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Playwork (NVQ) qualification you will be required to be working/have a voluntary placement in a real play environment so that your tutor will be able to assess and observe your knowledge and skills in a real work situation. This could be in settings such as:
- Sports Centres
- Afterschool clubs
- Breakfast clubs
- Holiday play clubs
- Children’s Centres
- Mobile play buses
- Play schemes
How can I progress further with my studies?
On completion of your CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Playwork (NVQ) qualification you will either be able to go into or employment, or if you would like to study further CACHE also offer higher level courses in the Childcare and Education Sector such as the Level 4 Certificate in Playwork and Level 5 Diploma in Playwork.
